Jack Buchanan. Suave, Debonair and Stylish. (though he did have a weakness for rather girly cocktails).
Partnered Binnie Hale and Elsie Randolph on stage and screen as was occasionally billed as "England's Fred Astaire" even though he was Scottish and had a quintessentially British character.
Poor man succumbed to lung cancer, probably due being a very heavy smoker, but left a wonderful legacy of light films and jolly songs, such as "Living in Clover", "Night Time" and one of my favourites, "Oceans of Time" (duetting with Elsie Randolph - see below).
