Gangs of Asian youths in the north of England are out of control, claims a Labour MP. Ann Cryer, who represents Keighley in West Yorkshire, says youths, mostly men, are resorting to turf wars and totally disregarding the law. And she has criticised leading representatives of the Asian communities in the north of the country for burying their heads in the sand and not acknowledging there is a problem.
The Weasel has long tried to argue that Asians pose a specific problem in the UK, and yet, all you ever get if you bring this up is the glib taunts of "racism" and that the majority of Asians are yada yada yada etc. Well, if you define racism properly, as identifying certain ethnic groups as culturally and socially different, then I suppose I am a racist. But it is a debate stopper. If you apply this definition you end up doing what the Police and the Government and Asians themselves have hitherto been doing and simply ignored the truth that certain groups pose specific social problems.
Not any more.
Jack Straw has waded in.
Of course, one "leading" Muslim trotted out the usual blind denial:Former home secretary Jack Straw has said some UK Pakistani men see white girls as "easy meat" for sex abuse.The Blackburn MP was speaking after two Asian men who abused girls in Derby were given indeterminate jail terms.
He said there was a "specific problem" in some areas where Pakistani men "target vulnerable white girls".
But Keith Vaz, chairman of the home affairs select committee, said it was not a cultural problem and it was wrong to stereotype a whole community. (BBC)
Obviously there is still a problem that the people with whom these criminals share their culture, religion and social values. Interesting though, that it is a former Labour Home Secretary who has raised the issue. And he is not alone. The Police are now reluctantly adimtting it.
Police and social services have been accused of fuelling a culture of silence which has allowed hundreds of young white girls to be exploited by Asian men for sex.
Agencies have identified a long-term pattern of offending by gangs of men, predominantly from the British Pakistani community, who have befriended and abused hundreds of vulnerable girls aged 11 to 16.
Experts claim the statistics represent a mere fraction of a 'tidal wave' of offending in counties across the Midlands and the north of England which has been going on for more than a decade.

'No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex, but we need to stop being worried about the racial complication.'
And that was a police officer. And it is not just trafficking that has an ethnic angle. A former gang member and whistleblower said:
the Muslim network is vast and stretches up and down the UK, so they can shift drugs extremely quickly. That makes the money-making potential of a Muslim gang a hundred times that of a British or European gang.
So, then let's just continue to put our fingers in our ears and sing "la la la, I'm not listening" Oh, and next time you get on an airplane, who are you going to be most nervous about, a little old white lady or somebody wearing a bag over their head?

Straw went on to point out that the overwhelming majority of imprisoned sexual offenders are white, of course. You left that bit out.
Anyway, leave that aside, leave aside the scandals in the Catholic Church and a lot of other vocations (unless you want to 'profile' them too).
What is to be 'profiled' in this type of case that Straw is talking about? Let's say a young white woman or girl reports that she has been sexually attacked. What do you do? Get out you Big Book of Profiles, the better to target the offender? You can do that if you want to. Me, if I were a cop, I'd ask her to describe who did it.
Well let's not call it profiling, call it intelligence-led policing. As armed robberies tend to be carried out by four men in a powerful car, then the police will pull such cars over and ask a few questions. They don't stop old ladies in Nissan Micras on the off-chance they have a sawn-off in the back. To paraphrase Sir Robert Peel, the inventor of marmalade, "It's better to deter than to detect crime."
btw the attraction of suicide bombing to mant young muslim males is the promise of virgins in paradise due to the absence of contact with non-family women before marriage. The practice of taking young boys as homosexual partners in Afghanistan (though it would be just as vigorously denied to infidels with taqqiyeh) has the same sex-starved cause.
The root problem is that islam is resistant to self-examination and criticism.

No Jim. It is, as you well know, about intelligent policing. It is about stopping and searching more Young Asian Males in specific locations where relevant crimes are known to happen and not stopping and searching 50 year old white males in order to tick boxes.
It is also about understanding what motivates them and it is about dealing with statistical probabilities.
Perhaps I have not prooerly defined "profiling", but there must be proactive profiling, as in, "what demographic is likely to home in on young white girls". Not Catholic Priests I would have thought since they seem to go for boys. But of course, the majority of Catholic Priests are holy, law abiding citizens and useful members of the community so we must not tar every one of them with the same brush, should we?
For intelligent policing may I nominate Kerry McCarthy MP for Mogadishu South East who suggests that all men in Bristol should be DNA tested to track down Jo Yeates' killer(s). Despite being an expert on postal votes, Ms McCarthy is unaware of the approx 421,000 population size of Bristol or over a million for the extended area. Even if women are excluded, (have the Police ruled them out?)that's still an almost impossible task to undertake. But the poor dear did vote for ID cards so little can be expected of her. Much better to concentrate on "the usual suspects" in the first instance.
Maybe this was why the police tried to install cctv in Sparkhill.
Mind you, due to absence of permission from community leaders the cameras were subsequently scrapped and an apology issued.

Ah Brian. Kerry McCarthy makes Dawn Primarolo look like an intellectual giant.
As for DNA, what most people do not realise is that the difference between my DNA and that of a cabbage is that 57% of our DNA is the same as that of a cabbage. I venture to suggest that in the case of Ms McCarthy it is a lot more.
Twig, the people we are talking about have cleverly rendered themselves beyond scrutiny, and its mostly the fault of the previous government. I remember that Sparkhill thing. Why should they escape surveillance when the rest of us put up with it everywhere?
